I’m fine, thank you, Amy. I’ve been visiting my daughter and nine year old grandson. Had a lovely time. Continuing on with writing about the life of one of our hospital matrons for our group of retired nurses, using her memoir as an aid. She served as a trained nurse in WWI in France and was matron of the hospital in WWII. Like us, she trained at the hospital. Her book and other research has given us a lot of insight into the hospital’s history and nursing history, that we were unaware of. She was still attending some meetings of the hospital’s nurses league when we were student nurses in the early 1970s.
